What is California's Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act (CCDAA)? +
The CCDAA (SB 253) is a California law that requires large companies doing business in the state to publicly report their greenhouse gas emissions. Covered companies must disclose Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions first, with Scope 3 reporting phasing in later.
Who has to report under the CCDAA? +
Companies with more than $1 billion in annual revenue that do business in California are covered by the CCDAA's emissions reporting requirements, regardless of where they are headquartered.
