Gravity Ranked Among Highest-Recommended Tools in Scope 3 Peer Group Report
The Scope 3 Peer Group, a global collective of professionals tasked with supply chain emissions reduction, has released its Scope 3 Tools Insights Report — an independent look at the Scope 3 software market, drawing on feedback gathered over late 2025 and early 2026 from hundreds of enterprise buyers, the suppliers asked to engage with Scope 3 tools, and solution providers building the software. Among tools with five or more buyer ratings, Gravity was among the highest recommended, measured by Net Promoter Score-style likelihood to recommend.
The report is worth reading for what it captures: not marketing claims, but real feedback from end users. By bringing together perspectives from buyers, suppliers, and providers, it gives a clearer picture of where the Scope 3 tools market is actually working and where it still isn't.
A few findings stood out to us at Gravity:
Buyers want to act, not just measure. Demand for capabilities that help organizations reduce emissions is rising fast: 45% of buyers want proactive decarbonization roadmaps, 39% want predictive forecasting, and 38% want intelligent gap analysis. The report's read is that the providers who deliver here credibly, with working features rather than marketing claims, will have a clear advantage.
The promise-versus-performance gap is real. Providers routinely claim capabilities that buyers describe as missing or thin in practice. "Missing must-have features" is the second most common reason buyers reject a vendor, even after that vendor has made it onto a shortlist. The report's advice for buyers is consistent: test tools against your own messy, real-world data before signing contracts, stress-test edge cases, and evaluate more providers than feels necessary. Prices and capabilities vary far more across the market than most buyers expect.
Buyers are actively shopping. 43% of buyers say they are currently looking for a new or replacement Scope 3 tool — up from 35% at the same point last year — and a meaningful share expect to make a decision within the next 12 months.
The desire to go beyond measurement and take action captured in the report lines up closely with how we've been building Gravity. Our recent piece on how AI can lighten the supplier engagement burden walks through how publicly available data can be used to ask suppliers for less, not more, and our webinar with Adyen looks at how one of our customers is approaching Scope 3 measurement, reporting, and reduction in practice.
